TOEAC | Moving Rhythms

‘The duo TOEAC knows its stuff and sees an opportunity to transform an arrangement for piano four hands by Igor Stravwinsky’s ballet Petrushka into a lively whole, divided over two accordions. The musical story is downright exciting. They play with verve, also with room for striking atmospheric moments. Beautiful.’ (Rudolf Nammensma, Dagblad van het Noorden)

Description

Petrushka is one of TOEAC’s favourite works and therefore could not be missing from the next CD. In addition, Moving Rhythms includes tangos by Piazzolla that TOEAC has had on the program for years and that are finally released on CD by popular demand. Two works were written especially for TOEAC, by Gerard Beljon and Benjamin de Murashkin.

– Tangos by Stravinsky, Piazzolla, Beljon, the Murashkin and Klein
